For the Rare Book Collector and Seller

We have created this site as a resource for people who are interested in Rare Books. We hope that this site will be the preferred Internet resource for people who have an interest in antique books or collectable books. On this site, we aim to connect you with others who have a similar passion and those businesses that serve the Book Collecting community.

By joining our site as a Standard member (free), you will be able to:-

  • List details of up to 100 books for sale.
  • Read articles of interest to the book collector.
  • Selectively search for other members that share your interests.
By becoming a Silver member (£1.00 / Month), you will be able to:-
  • List details of up to 1000 books for sale.
  • A link back to your site if you link back to us.
By becoming a Gold member (£3.00 / Month), you will be able to:-
  • Have all the privileges of a Silver member plus the following additional privileges.
  • List details of up to 10000 books for sale.
All listings will be seen by Google, Yahoo and other major search sites.

If you have an electronic copy of your catalogue, we will load this for you for a small fee.

Obviously, we are providing this site as a commercial service. However, we have a different philosophy than other sites.

We do not charge booksellers a listing fee nor do we take a commission on their sale. Therefore, our booksellers can offer you the most competitive prices without having to pay a middleman. We also ask our booksellers to display a selling price and whether they would be willing to negotiate on the price. The sellers can also upload photographs of the item being offered so you can see the condition. We also have a minimum value (£12.00) so you won't find cheap second-hand books on our site.

We also ensure that every single book listed on our database is indexed by search engines. So if you have a valuable rare book, the collector may be able to find the book directly through a search engine enquiry rather than just searching our site. Also, anyone can contact booksellers free.

The way we make our money is through a membership subscription. The Standard membership is free. A Silver membership costs just £1 per month (less than $2 US). A Gold membership (designed for booksellers) is just £3 per month (less than $5 US). We guarantee not to increase subscriptions by more than 20% annually.

We also make a credit against your subscription for any articles of yours that we publish. Unlike other sites who ask you to provide content for nothing, we believe that content adds value to the site and therefore we will reward the authors accordingly.

We will also credit you if you introduce new Silver, Gold or Platinum members to our site. Whatever credit they pay first time, we will also credit your subscription account with the same credit.
